Leilani Joy Lahey

Leilani Joy Lahey was born on October 6, 2005 in Des Moines, IA.  She was surrounded by her family when Jesus called her home early Monday, May 29, 2017.

Leilani loved Jesus, food, the show Girl Meets World, and the movie Tangled. She loved to sing at the top of her lungs, and dance till her feet hurt. You couldn’t be around Leilani without smiling and laughing. Her life was a living testimony of who Christ is- She would often ask people very bluntly if they loved Jesus, and wanted everyone around her to know they were loved. Leila didn’t let anything keep her down; she overcame any obstacle that was thrown at her.  She did not lose any battle when she left this earth, but rather gained her ultimate prize. We have no doubt that she ran to right into Jesus’ arms. Although we will miss her for a time here on earth, we move forward with confidence of seeing her again.

Leilani is survived by her parents Steve and Carissa, siblings; Malachi, Isaiah, Ellyona, Ezra, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.
